Seems the California state government is looking for programs they can cut to save money. In this case, Adult Education, an affordable alternative to over-crowded colleges or expensive technical schools.
Individuals who attend adult schools seek to enhance job skills, secure a GED or develop a new career path. As a two-year veteran of ABC Adult School in Cerritos, CA I’ve gained technical skills that would have been cost prohibitive in college. They just want too much money for Computer Animation classes.
At ABC I have access daily to equipment and software I can’t afford to purchase right now. And the level of teaching rivals any community or state college. Adult Education is not a luxury; it’s an opportunity to develop minds that will keep Americans competitive across the state and the world.
